The features, benefits, and differences between our Original and Evolution ranges of kits are detailed in our eBay adverts and our website.

How it Works

Cars that have either air or hydraulic suspension are fitted with ride height sensors which are connect to the suspension’s wishbones by linkages. The ride height sensors measure the level the road is that the car is traveling on to aid the cars auto levelling system. The ride height sensors and linkages, in most cases are located behind each wheel hub assembly.

The fully adjustable linkages included in our lowering kits replace the factory fitted, fixed length linkages and by either lengthening or shortening the adjustable linkages the ride height sensors will send altered information to the car’s suspension computer which will then lower the car.

The solution we offer is safe and reliable and has been fitted to over 30000 cars worldwide as such our lowering kits have been tested over millions of miles / kilometres.

Lowering your car with one of our lowering kits is extremely simple, no special tools or mechanical experience are required and with the guidance of our comprehensive fitting instructions the install will take just 1-2 hours and as our lowering kits are fully adjustable you can lower your car to your desired height.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Once the lower kit is installed will my car’s onboard suspension settings still work.

A. With the lowering kit installed all the car’s suspension raising and lowering functionality will remain intact with each setting being lower. *The access mode on Range Rovers will stop functioning when the car has been lowered but the Normal and Raised functions will work as before.

Q. HOW LOW WILL MY CAR BE WITH THE LOWERING KIT INSTALLED?

A. Every lowering kit we offer is fully adjustable. A car is lowered by as much as 70mm where possible and safe to do so. Lowering a car by 35mm will be enough to give your car an amazing stance, whilst retaining a great level of ride comfort and being mechanically sympathetic.

Q. WILL LOWERING MY CAR AFFECT THE RIDE QUALITY?

A. The ride quality after the lowering kit is installed on Saloon, Estate or Coupe, cars even when significantly lowered is excellent. The ride quality of an SUV’s will gradually diminish as it is lowered further. We recommend that SUV’s be lowered by a maximum of 35mm to give a great stance whilst retain a good level of ride comfort. As every lowering kit is fully adjustable you will be able to find the perfect balance between ride height and ride comfort.

Q. DO I NEED TO HAVE THE LOWERING KIT INSTALLED BY A MECHANIC?

A. The lowering kit is simple to install using our comprehensive instructions and basic tools. A jack, axle stands, 9mm & 10mm spanners, ruler, a wide ended screwdriver and few cups of coffee are all that are required.
The instructions are downloadable using the QR code / web link displayed on the label on the packaging or via our website. We recommend reading the instructions before starting the installation and contacting us should further guidance be required.

Q. DO I NEED TO HAVE THE ALIGNMENT CHECKED AFTER INSTALLING A LOWERING KIT?

A. Any car that has been lowered should have the alignment checked after it has been lowered. Wheel camber will increase, especially on the rear the lower a car is made as a result the tyres may wear slightly more on the insides without having the camber adjusted. Our personal cars have not had any camber alterations as we are happy to sacrifice a little tyre wear for the impressive sporty look you gain with a little extra negative camber.

Q. WHAT HEIGHT SETTING SHOULD I USE WHEN DRIVING MY CAR?

A. If you prefer the ‘Stanced’ look of your car and or want to impress onlookers use the car’s lowest setting. However, if you are going on a longer journey raising the cars suspension will give a more comfortable drive. If you decide to have a ‘play’ simply select one of the lower / sport modes for improved handling.

Q. DOES THE LOWERING KIT REQUIRE MAINTENANCE?

A. As part of the installation we recommend that a small amount of grease be added to the ball joint of each linkage. As the lowering linkages are located under the wheel arches they will be subjected to water, dirt, and road salt during the winter months, so it is prudent to clean and re-grease the linkages sporadically to increase the life of the lowering kit.
